Heritage Park closes orange picking early

 The La Verne Heritage Foundation closed its annual orange picking early this year. Located at 5001 Via De Mansion in La Verne, each Saturday the orange picking booth welcomed visitors to pick oranges for $5. Due to a small crop this year, the orange picking event concluded in mid-February. This year’s harvest was expected to continue from Jan. 4 through the middle of March. / photo by Michael Savall
