Leopards win two of three in conference clash with Sagehens

The Leopards defeated the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, 2-1, on April 24 at Campus West for a late season conference clash. The team then lost the opener of Saturday’s doubleheader in Claremont, 10-2, but took the deciding game, 9-5. 

Leopards take series from Cal Lutheran in conference clash

The Leopards, in a mid-season conference clash, defeated Cal Lutheran, 2-1, at Campus West on April 10. The team also had a doubleheader the next day against the Regals in Thousand Oaks, winning game one, 6-3, and falling short, 9-4, in the final game.

Leopards rank high at SCIAC meet

The Leopards attended the Redlands Invitational meet last weekend against Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents like Chapman, Pomona-Pitzer, Redlands and many non-conference schools.

Softball takes two of three from Whittier

La Verne won a three-game series against Whittier, defeating the Poets, 8-2, on March 6 at Palmer Field, and then splitting a doubleheader Saturday at Campus West, winning game one, 5-3, before dropping game two, 14-11.

Men’s basketball wins final game of the season

The men’s basketball team ended its season on a high note, defeating Pomona-Pitzer in a close game, 75-74, Saturday at Frantz Athletic Court in the Athletics Pavilion.

Men’s basketball falls short to Caltech

The men’s basketball team came up close against Caltech, 88-85, on Wednesday at Frantz Athletic Court.
