Tartans dominate Leopards in doubleheader

The La Verne softball team was unable to fend off the Carnegie Mellon Tartans in both games of their doubleheader March 11 at Campus West. The final scores were 7-1 and 3-2.

The La Verne softball team handed Worcester Polytechnic Institute their first losses of the season in a double-header Tuesday evening at Campus West, 4-1 and 14-7.

The baseball team took two games from the visiting Centenary Gentlemen from Louisiana this week, including a close 9-7 win Sunday evening and a come-from-behind 12-8 victory Wednesday. The Leopards improved to 5-1-1 on the season as they await the opening of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

The La Verne softball team earned a 3-1 victory in their season opener against Hope International on Feb. 9 at Campus West. This win was followed by two more wins against Pacific Oregon University last Friday. 

Leopards fail to rally for second half comeback against Cal Lutheran

The men’s basketball team won its first SCIAC game of the season Wednesday, beating Redlands, 77-69. The win came just two days after suffering a 100-76 loss to Cal Lutheran Monday night at the Frantz Athletic Court.
