Exhibition highlights ‘hard-edged’ artist

The Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College is showing the work of June Harwood, a pivotal addition to the Los Angeles Hard-Edge movement of abstract art. Harwood’s early works in the 1960s Sliver series earned her a place as a key figure in this movement signified by paintings of intense color and geometric abstraction. 

Faculty, staff to receive 2% raise amid 7.9% inflation

On Oct. 1 faculty and staff of the University of La Verne will receive a 2% general pay raise as announced in an email this month from President Pardis Mahdavi and Chief Financial Officer Avo Kechichian.

Ontario museum invites public to be a part of upcoming exhibit

The Ontario Museum of History and Art held an art-making class Saturday to kick off the 25th anniversary of the museum's Día de los Muertos exhibition, in which the students will be able to display their dishes and mugs, which they glazed and decorated in class.
