Letters recall Kristallnacht stories

The University of La Verne hosted its annual Kristallnacht Remembrance Lecture featuring author Steven Wasserman speaking about his book, “Grasping at Straws: Letters from the Holocaust,” Sunday in the Campus Center Ballroom.

Al Clark, professor of humanities, presented a lecture called “Brethren Heritage at ULV: 129 years of Shifting Interpretations” as part of the weekly La Verne Academy Lecture series at noon Tuesday at the Quay Davis Executive Board Room. 

Concert Review: Alex G performs ‘Miracles’ on stage

The concert ended with one of his most popular songs, “Harvey.” Even as people walked out of the doors when the song was over the enthusiasm and excitement part of the crowd were still palpable. 

Author rewrites history in memoir

Deborah A. Miranda, author of “Bad Indians: A Tribal Memoir,”  this year’s selection for the One Book, One University series, gave a lecture at noon Wednesday in the Athletics Pavilion.
