Water damage to the University of La Verne chapel, caused by a clogged sewer line March 27, is in the process of being repaired by commencement day, May 27.
The University of La Verne's Stu-Han (women's) dormitory was illegally entered last weekend when a male was able to walk into two rooms in what the residents involved believe were rape attempts.
After waiting a year for the Santa Fe Railroad to release property on the southwest corner of First and E Streets (where the train station was once located), the University of La Verne has purchased the one-acre parcel of land for $200,000. The land will provide parking space for the newly-proposed dormitory to be built across the street from the recently-bought property.
The proposed Richard M. Nixon Institute of World Affairs will not be coming to the University of La Verne, following its rejection by the University's Board of Trustees.
