Street racing speeds through Pomona Fairplex

“Operation Street Legal” is a program that has recently been started by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) to get those who are illegally racing off city streets.

Precautions taken for construction site

The University of La Verne community may have to deal with a parking problem this year, due in part to the current Wilson Library construction, but as far as feeling unsafe around the site, there is no need to fear.

Student injured

On Friday morning, Oct. 21, at approximately 12:30, two ULV students, sophomores Tamara Lien and Mike Whipple, were struck by a car at the intersection of “D” and Third Streets. The driver of the car was senior Eugene Kim.

Braunstein elected ASF president

After last year’s controversial Associated Student Federation (ASF) presidential election which left the position unfilled for five months, senior Chris Braunstein was elected to the position last Friday.

Law professor DePaula killed in auto accident

Last Friday, the University of La Verne learned it had lost a member of its family. Bruce DePaula, professor of law, died Thursday after being in a single car accident at around 1 p.m.
