During the. summer, the University of La Verne College of Law had hoped to achieve provisional accreditation for this fall. However, the American Bar Association (ABA) felt that several problem areas of the school needed to be worked out before accreditation could be given.
Provisional accreditation for the University of La Verne College of Law may become a reality for Summer 1978 if progress on the American Bar Association inspection team's recommendations continues at its present rate, according to President Armen Sarafian and Dean Thomas Reese, who recently returned from a meeting with the ABA Committee in Washington, D.C.
La Verne College's faculty voted unanimously Jan. 14 to accept the integrity of the junior college A.A. degree. Incoming students with the A.A. from an accredited college will be awarded junior standing at the college.
