Prism takes on new look, outlook

Seventeen years ago, the Associated Student Forum published the first issue of Prism, the literary magazine of the University of La Verne. Prisms, as it was then called, contained typewritten pages of poetry and prose. Today the contents of Prism, now published by the English and foreign language departments, remain much the same. The editorial board, however, hopes to change not only the look but the reputation of the magazine.

Worley shares craft with community

At first glance, the picture on his office wall seems like any other ordinary photograph of a group of people. Take another careful glance and you begin to notice something a bit peculiar. Take an even closer look and you see what it really is: a picture of homosexuals and transvestites dressed in full drag celebrating Fasching, Munich, Germany’s version of Mardi Gras.

Play combines romance, comedy

This semester two students from the theater department have put together an exciting play called The Lover for their senior thesis project.

From Harold Pinter’s The Lover, to a spooky and chilling Haunted House, to Shakespeare’s comedic Twelfth Night, the Theatre Arts Department has planned an exciting semester for students and staff.

Un-Brady America

Marcia, Jan and Cindy. Greg, Peter and Bobby. Carol and Mike. Alice and Tiger. The Bradys will forever symbolize the All-American family. The Bradys, however, did not live in a very politically correct world.

Stone sculpts well-balanced outlook for ULV

Associates. The station will be on the corner of Beverly and Vermont Boulevards, and it will be an integration of classic archite"cture and the earth's natural strata. Much of his work has been critically acclaimed in major contemporary art publications. Stone has also received individual artist grants and fellowships for his art. Some of the major contribut­ing organizations have been the California Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
