After coming out of a rough start to the weekend series, the La Verne baseball team jumped on an early lead in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader at Ben Hines Field, eventually outscoring the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, 11-4.

Leopards write off Poets with a weekend sweep

The baseball team won 17-5 in a seven inning mercy rule after pitching settled in against rival Whittier on April 15 at Ben Hines Field. The win opened an explosive three game sweep of the Poets.
