The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags stole the show as they defeated the Leopards, 41-13, during Saturday’s Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football home opener at Ortmayer Stadium.

The football team came back in the last seconds of the fourth quarter to win the Homecoming game against the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens in front of a packed crowd of alumni and supporters Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium, 38-37.
The Leopards’ defense held the Poets’ offense to 26 points after receiving two interceptions and restricted their run plays to just a few yards throughout the game.
The football team’s offense was absent in its 51-7 loss to Redlands on Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium.
The Leopards last victory against the Bulldogs was in 2015.
