Jason Bustos picked up his first golf club in middle school. Now, the junior has transformed his casual beginning into a promising collegiate career that continues to reach new heights. 

The 2024 golf season is now complete and both the men’s and women’s golf teams finished exciting seasons, each finishing with top-five placings in numerous tournaments.

Senior Michael Ordona led the way for men and women’s golf teams at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship tournament Sunday through Tuesday, hosted by Cal Lutheran at Mountain Meadows Golf Course in Pomona.

The La Verne men’s and women’s golf teams placed fourth at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference No. 2 tournament at Mountain Meadows Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

Facing harsh weather, the La Verne women’s golf team finished eighth at the Westmont Cup Warrior Invitational at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura in a two-day tournament Monday and Tuesday.
