When departing from the La Verne station, a short, 15-minute train excursion brings the rider to the small, vibrant community of Azusa. The station, located north of Alameda Avenue, is in the center of an industrial area, and a few feet from the heart of downtown Azusa.

In San Marino, just a 5-10 minute shuttle ride from the Allen Avenue  stop on the new Metro A Line, there is a botanical garden called The Huntington. 

Paseo San Miguel is an authentic Salvadoran restaurant located on Rosemead Boulevard in  Pico Rivera. The popular dishes from the country are a stuffed thick tortilla called a pupusas and tamales, corn and chicken.
