Capturing a 9-2 victory over Redlands last Friday was exactly what the La Verne Baseball Team needed to start a three-game series which continued onto Saturday when the Leos split a doubleheader with the Bulldogs.
After a big loss, 19-4, to Westmont College in the afternoon, the University of La Verne Men's Baseball Team came back to beat the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, last Friday evening. The final score was 8-6.
The University of La Verne Baseball Team picked up its first wins of the season last week. It faced the Caltech Beavers in the afternoon game of a split doubleheader on Friday. With strong pitching from Scott Root and Ray Larsen, and a good day from everyone at the plate, the Leos took the game 18-1.

The exhibition “Chicano Park Muralists in Pomona Con Safos,” which explores the history and roots of Chicano heritage through the art of 15 mural artists and two photographers from Chicano Park in San Diego, is on display now at the dA center in Pomona.
