Football successfully smothers Stags

La Verne’s football team successfully defeated the Clare­mont-Mudd-Scirpps Stags last Saturday and smo­thered NCAA Division III passing leader, John Shipp, in a 45-22 victory.

Stork makes double delivery to football players

When the football season started for senior linebacker Tim Lopez and junior wide receiver Parrish Jones, they had more than just winning the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletics Conference to look forward to, they were patiently waiting for the birth of their babies. So in the same week when most players were watching tapes of old games, Lopez and Jones were watching the births of their baby girls.

Chapman accusations unfounded

The ULV football program was accused last Thursday of illegally scouting Chapman University football practice on Wednesday night. After further investigation of the issue, CU dismissed the allegation against La Verne.

Leopard football plans to roll past Claremont

No one ever said it would be easy to win SCIAC outright, but with La Verne football, one of only two teams in conference still undefeated, it’s looking like ULV might do it.
