Golf gives students tee-rific chance to de-stress
The University’s Campus Activities Board hosted a “Golf’d Up” event Tuesday at Citrus Lawn, complete with a virtual golf simulator experience for students, mini putt, free sub sandwiches and chips.
Men’s golf takes first place at Poet Challenge
The La Verne men’s golf team won the Poet Challenge by a close margin of one point under Chapman 312-313. Sophomore Pitiluk Phanomchai, who was recently nominated Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week, took first place helping to ensure the win for the Leopards after prevailing through the rain last week.

Junior Alec Spencer led the the men’s golf team to victory in the West Cup championship Tuesday at Sierra La Verne Country Club. He split the individual title four ways after he shot a three-round total of 218.
