It has been a winning two weeks for the women’s water polo team. The Leopards took down the Chapman Panthers, 15-11, in their final stretch of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference games March 30 at the La Verne Aquatic Center.
The women’s water polo team could not match the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens' speed in a 14-9 loss Sunday evening at the La Verne Aquatic Center. The Leopards now stand 2-2 in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play while the Sagehens remain in the No. 1 seed in the division.
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California declared a water shortage emergency on April 27, and issued a one-day-a-week outdoor watering restriction for parts of Los Angeles, Ventura and San Bernardino counties, which is home to about 6 million southern Californians effective June 1.
