The University of La Verne office of academic advising and career center are combining into one office, with the goal of serving students more thoroughly from choosing majors and classes as well as internships and careers.
Academic departments each year identify students who have been recognized for academic achievement. Along with this recognition, each candidate is gifted a special commemorative pen that is embossed with their full name. We are delighted to recognize the following student scholars on behalf of the academic departments who nominated them.
The La Verne community may be practicing social distancing, but that does not mean socializing has been put on hold. Students still have the opportunity to interact with each other and further their studies through La Verne’s virtual events.
As she finished her workout with squats, pull, clean and jerk, and snatch, Hailey McCann sat on the floor, deciding if she wanted to go to In-N-Out for a burger with animal fries or to Little Caeser’s for a deep dish pizza.
National CORE, a nonprofit affordable housing developer, is leading a permanent supportive housing project, 740 Foothill Community, in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County between the cities of San Dimas and La Verne. Both cities are opposed to the project.
