Alyssa Smith, junior guard for the La Verne women’s basketball team, has been awarded First Team All-SCIAC and Second Team All-Region for the 2025-2026 season, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced.

In November, Hector Duenas-Peña, senior goalkeeper for the men’s soccer team, was named to the men’s soccer All-SCIAC team. 

Juniors Austin Napolitano and Trevor Woodland earned La Verne the respect it was looking for as both received All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors.

After a successful 2008 campaign by the men’s soccer program, the team was rewarded with five members being named to the All-Conference team.

Every road has its twists, turns, bumps and potholes, but the road the 2006 La Verne women’s soccer team traveled seemed to be under complete reconstruction.
