The La Verne men’s water polo team fought aggressively to the final buzzer during an 8-6 loss to the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday evening at the La Verne Aquatic Center.
It has been more than six years since a track and field event has taken place on the La Verne campus. On Saturday, La Verne’s track and field team placed first in 14 events overall, hosting its first home meet since 2006 on the revamped Ortmayer Stadium.
La Verne was back on the courts Wednesday as they hosted Biola at the Claremont Club. However, La Verne’s frustrations continued as they were easily downed by Biola, 8-1, leaving La Verne winless so far this season.
