Career fair lets students know what jobs are out there

The University of La Verne hosted a virtual career fair last week with 50 employers, to help students learn about job and internship opportunities via Zoom.

A slight breeze blew as University of La Verne senior Wanda Groppi watched the arrows pierce the target at the YMCA campsite. A sense of delight and confidence was reflected with a smile on Groppi’s face; she had made a difference in the lives of others.

Dr. Ikenberry recalls stories of war

Four years before the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan declared war on China. Within weeks in late 1937, Japanese troops occupied large parts of Northern China, an area where American missionaries from the Church of the Brethren were active. Three of them were carried off by the Japanese and disappeared on Dec. 2, 1937.
