The Los Angeles County Fair, down the street from the University at the Fairplex in Pomona, opened May 7 and among the wide variety of events, rides and exhibits is a host of animals to visit, watch perform and interact with.

The Huntley College of Agriculture at Cal Poly Pomona is hosting its annual pumpkin festival this month, from noon to 7 p.m. Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 27.
