With over 400 athletes across 18 teams, it is easy to take La Verne’s athletic programs for granted. But as with many great things, our sports came from very humble beginnings.
It is not often that a team is consistent year after year in winning championships. When a team is so good for so long, the word ‘dynasty’ comes to mind. The only thing harder than winning a championship is maintaining that level of consistency that got you there in the first place, season after season.
After a season long series of hosting nationally-ranked programs, the La Verne softball team concluded non-conference play against No. 7 Williams College on Monday, dropping the doubleheader with the scores 4-3 in game one and 9-3 in game two.
