A 180-degree flip of the men’s water polo team’s mentality ignited a second-half comeback against the Chapman Panthers on Saturday morning at the La Verne Aquatic Center. However, the Leopards could not claw away at the score and fell, 14-12.
In a passionate attempt, the La Verne men’s water polo team fought for their first win of the season, 13-12, against the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds during the Gary Troyer Tournament Friday afternoon, hosted at the La Verne Aquatic Center.
It seems the men’s soccer team may soon have a comeback as it tied against Chapman 1-1 on Wednesday at Ortmayer Stadium after being shut out during their last two SCIAC games.
The La Verne baseball team's SCIAC championship season looked just about over when they lost Saturday at Ben Hines Field, 16-8, to Chapman. However on Monday, the Leopards were offered a bid to play in the NCAA Division III championship tournament in Birmingham, Alabama, keeping their tremendous season alive for at least another two games.
