Junior Xavier Unamun, the No. 1 seed for the University of La Verne men’s tennis team, sends a backhand volley to Chapman College’s Jose Alvarez.

The University of La Verne golf team lost to the University of California, San Diego and Chapman College in a three team tournament in La Verne on Monday. The overall score for the Leos in the game was 3 and 41, as opposed to UCSD’s score of 3 and 22, and Chapman’s 3 and 25.

Despite a lack of experience, La Verne’s women’s tennis team pulled off a winning match against Chapman College on Wednesday, 6-3.

With the regular season over, the Leopard football team has turned its attention to Minnesota, but the achievements of La Verne before the championships are, in a word, memorable.

The University of La Verne’s women’s volleyball team took on the NCAA Division III West Region’s fourth-ranked team Tuesday, Chapman University, and lost in three games, 16-14, 16-14 and 15-4.
