University of La Verne President Devorah Lieberman on Monday announced the resignation of Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management Mary Aguayo, effective Jan. 3 next year.

Eric Bishop, a University of La Verne alumnus, who also held several positions at La Verne – including associate dean of academic advising, journalism professor and Campus Times adviser – was recently appointed president of Ohlone Community College in Fremont, California. He starts July 6. 

Magician Greg Van Holsbeck returned to the Claremont Forum Bookstore after a two-year hiatus with new illusions in his show, “Handcrafted Mysteries,” for a group of 15 on Oct. 27.  

The Haven in Pomona showcased The Jins, All Hollows, and Rivers Ventura – all small bands coming together through their passion for playing indie rock music – on Sunday night before a full house.

Empowerment comedian Ernesto Gritzewsky, known as Ernie G, sat amid his audience of roughly 70 before his performance – to have intimate conversations and get to know them  – Tuesday in Sara and Michael Abraham Campus Center with at least 70 attendees.
