In the Gallery SOHO at the Montclair Place mall, artists jumped the “Down the Rabbit Hole” to create an edgy spring themed exhibition along with an Easter event on April 15 in the Pomona Valley Art Association space.
The clock was ticking as children of all ages waited to dash for colorful eggs hidden in the grass. The La Verne Rotary Club and La Verne Community Services Department held an annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday in Las Flores Park. The event has been held annually for over 20 years.
University President Devorah Lieberman and Provost Jonathan Reed presented a draft of a resolution on Oct. 26 to students and faculty listing the actions they plan to take in the coming weeks and months to improve the treatment of minority groups on campus.
The Mission Tiki Drive-In Theatre could be showing some of its final films this year. Although nothing has been approved yet, the city of Montclair has been dealing with a proposal to tear the theater down to make space for several warehouses.
Aiden Aizumi, a transgender activist and University of La Verne alumnus, shared his experience in honor of Transgender Rememberance Day on Nov. 20 via Zoom. This event also centered around remembering those in the transgender community who have died this past year due to violence.
