The University of La Verne’s Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum met in the West Dining Room Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 8:40 a.m. The Forum reviewed arrangements for the Holiday Dinner, voted on allocation of funds for Model United Nations and discussed the vacancy for Forum member positions.
Last week’s article [“Apathy sickens dedicated voter,” Nov. 20] raised some interesting points but also made assumptions that should be reexamined. Dissatisfaction with the “political system” and the reasons behind the electorate’s apathy may become clearer after examining those assumptions.
Our nation went to the polls two weeks ago to cast its votes in America’s midterm elections. I was at school all day, but was able to rush home and cast my ballot, making it to the polling place 15 minutes before it closed.
I have read many of your columns and I have got to admit that you definitely seem to have a thing against guys. So do the rest of us!
Simply thinking of eating horse meat makes me sick. Most likely, I will never try a bite of it in my entire life, but it is in no way my right to tell someone else what kind of animal meat they should or should not eat.
With elections just around the corner (Nov. 3), it is necessary for the University of La Verne community to be well-informed of propositions and candidates that will ultimately influence and structure laws and society.
Although some people on this campus find my “male-bashing” columns a waste of time, others enjoy them, whether it is because they can relate to my ideas or simply because it is a form of entertainment.
Election results for the transfer and freshman positions have been determined by the Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum and the University of La Verne student body.
