About 150 former and present communications alumni, students and faculty – with several former Campus Times editors-in-chief – came out to celebrate the Campus Times’ 100th anniversary, with a party and exhibit of front pages through the ages Saturday in the ACB.

The Campus Times has just hit its centennial milestone as of Monday. The first Campus Times was published on Oct. 14, 1919.

Commentary: Editor job is life changing

The Campus Times reached a milestone this week – 100 years of serving as a watchdog for not only the University of La Verne but also our local community. Through obstacles, brief hiatuses and award-winning highlights, the paper has established a legacy. And it is a staple of the community. 

Communications Dept. turns 25

The Communications Department is currently planning a 25th anniversary celebration, and has sent out invitations to virtually all alumni from the department. The event, slated for the evening of March 16, will also celebrate the opening of the new Arts and Communications building, where the department moved last fall.

Tondee remembered

Tom Tondee, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin photojournalist and friend to the University of La Verne and its Communications Department, died last Thursday, a month after being diagnosed with stomach cancer. Tondee, 42, had a tremendous influence and impact on the University of La Verne Communications Department.
