A recent downpour series of storms have been plummeting through the state and specifically the southern region which have caused environmental damage to the landscapes in many cities across California. The University of La Verne was directly affected as three oak trees have toppled over on campus in the past few months.
A live oak tree fell in Sneaky Park on Wednesday morning, taking a city light pole with it. This is the third historic live oak to fall on the University of La Verne campus since January due to heavy winter rainstorms.
Rachel Gordon, Schelcy Nava and Chantal Croutzel file a police report with La Verne Police Department Officer Marty Weinreb after a large oak branch fell on Croutzel’s Ford Explorer and another car outside the Stu-Han Residence Hall shortly before noon Monday.
