The ball sailed over the back line of the Leopards, giving the ULV women’s volleyball team the win in the opening set of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Semifinals. The Leopards looked to take control of the match in the second set, but it was not meant to be, as the Athenas rallied back from the deficit to win 3-1.
The women’s volleyball team opened the game against UC Santa Cruz with explosive energy at the Leopard Invitational and won with a final score of 3-0 on Saturday.
The volleyball team fought hard but could not overcome No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinals Nov. 1, losing to the Athenas, 3-1.
