For the Love of Arts Benefit Concert, a silent auction and fundraiser put on by the Cultural Arts Society of La Verne, was held Saturday in the meeting house at the Hillcrest Retirement Community in La Verne.
More than 100 guests helped raise $3,100 for future art programs throughout the night.
Students, faculty and friends and family of the performers filled Morgan Auditorium for their last concert of the year, titled “125 Years of Barbershop” Sunday.
Senior public relations majors Myranda Garcia and Caitlin Pallotta took it upon themselves to promote the Music and Memories program of La Verne’s Hillcrest retirement community, raising awareness and donations for patients fighting Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Hillcrest Retirement Community collaborated with the dA Center for the Arts to present the art created by Hillcrest residents May 1 in the gallery of the retirement community.
