The increasing popularity of intramural sports programs at universities and colleges helps target an important issue of lack of daily physical fitness. In addition, it also fosters education, health and socialization in a safe and fun environment.
The hallway that once had just vending machines and trophies in the Athletics Pavilion now has a hole in the wall. From that hole shines the light of a new office for Laura Gajdosik, the intramural sports coordinator.
Is it just me, or does it seem like campus involvement is declining? When I first came to the University, I would always see people at events.
It looks like the Old Gym’s days are numbered.
Every university should have a place where students can go to hang out, shoot hoops or follow their favorite intramural sports. In the University of La Verne’s case, that place is known as the Old Gym.
The bleachers are packed. The crowd is in a frenzy, yelling and screaming. Both teams are fighting for a win.
