On Halloween, the city of La Verne can see anywhere from 2,500 to 5,000 residents to get treated to candy and tricked by the houses decorated for the spooky season.
Each year, houses on Bonita Avenue can be visited by up to 5,000 trick-or-treaters excited to see the decorations. Houses with themes such as the movie “It,” the “Barbie” movie, alien invasions and even a house with a makeshift cemetery can be found in the festive community.
The debut of “IT, Chapter 2” has left the film at a worldwide second-best opening weekend with $185 million in revenue, following close behind the first installation, debuting 27 years after the original adaptation, which landed at $187.9 million.
For a little under a month, “Pennywise the Dancing Clown” awaited his guests at the corner of Hollywood and Vine as they lined the sidewalk for hours to catch a glimpse into “The Derry Canal Days Festival and Funhouse.”
