As I taught on the La Verne campus for 21 years and remain a scholarship donor, I am very saddened to see this beautiful campus mired in hate.

The audience in the President’s Dining Room was engrossed Tuesday as Janis Dietz, professor of business administration, shared stories of the dedication and integrity she learned while teaching at the University of La Verne.
We are encouraged by portions of President Lieberman’s and Dean Potter’s responses to our statement on corporatization and shared governance appearing in an April 29 story on a report by the AAUP.
The University of La Verne chapter of the American Association of University Professors released a statement last week calling attention to the University’s increasing “corporatization” and the need for true shared governance between faculty and administration to improve the student experience.

I support Gloria Montebruno Saller’s opposition to the atomic bomb in that we should not need to use weapons like this (“Effects of atomic bomb still felt.” Sept. 19).
Kristine Delgadillo wrote a very nice article about the Hillcrest Good Samaritan Dinner on March 7, a wonderful yearly fundraiser. However, the dinner did not “save Hillcrest.”
I read with interest the well versed comments about how easy it is to “sneak into” Davenport by having someone open the back gate.
I read your editorial about ASULV not doing their job as leaders at the university. May I say that you are sadly mistaken.
For our students, we as faculty and administrators want to be there for any counseling they need.
