Volleyball falls to No. 5 Athenas in semifinal
The ball sailed over the back line of the Leopards, giving the ULV women’s volleyball team the win in the opening set of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Semifinals. The Leopards looked to take control of the match in the second set, but it was not meant to be, as the Athenas rallied back from the deficit to win 3-1.

On Tuesday, the women’s volleyball team took an impressive win over the Occidental Tigers, 3-0.
Volleyball served losses in opening tournament
The women’s volleyball team opened its season with two days packed with games in the Pacific Coast Classic. Saturday, La Verne held its final match of the tournament in the Athletics Pavilion, losing 3-1 to Carroll from Wisconsin.
Sievers earns All-American honor
Senior outside hitter Kelsie Sievers was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as an All-Region selection and also an All-American Honorable Mention for her outstanding season, in addition to being named first-team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
