To kick off the 2025 Spring semester in style, the Campus Activities Board organized a Louisiana Jazz night on the third floor of the Campus Center with jazz band Groovis Maximus performing. 

The Campus Activities Board held Homecoming Illuminations on Monday in the Campus Center Ballroom. Around 30 people attended the event to hear who was nominated to a spot in this year’s Court of Leos. 

The Force was strong with ULV students at Star Wars casino night at 5pm on Wednesday in the Campus Center Ballroom. The Campus Activities Board held the event in honor of Homecoming.

A woman came in screaming for help in the middle of dinner – with a large knife sticking out of her. She stumbled to the middle of the room and let out a final scream before appearing to be dead. Two cops kicked a door open and got right to work. 

Shaun Boothe, a recording artist and motivational speaker, shared his work  “The Unauthorized Biography Series,” on Feb. 23 in the Campus Center before an audience of about 30. 

News of the University administration’s intention to eliminate January term and replace it with a similar May term starting in the 2025-26 academic year was an unpleasant surprise to  23 of 25 La Verne students who responded to an informal survey last week on campus.
