The Chair of the Theater Department Tom Ontiveros shared his story behind his success in the theater industry on Tuesday at the Quay Davis Executive Boardroom. He has worked on lighting designs for plays, musicals, dance performances, and operas.
During a recent seminar presented by writer, philosopher and La Verne alumnus Jon Hall, titled “Toward World Understanding: The Awakening of Gladdys Muir,” students were given a glimpse into the life of Gladdys Muir, a former La Verne professor who was a prominent figure in the Brethren movement and a peacemaker in society.
Esmeralda Rodriguez, assistant professor of educational counseling, presented her lecture “Troubling the Residual Impact of Child Saving and Mental Hygiene in Behavior Education: The Need for Culturally Sustaining Practices” Tuesday in the Quay Davis Executive Boardroom.
