Sexual assault often overlooked

This year’s Academy Awards were praised by many for tackling pressing issues including the lack of diversity in Hollywood and global warming, but the topic of sexual assault was one of the biggest of the night, with Vice President Joe Biden and singer Lady Gaga pushing for the end of rape culture.

Do not take their word for it

Believing in a cause is a great thing, and as citizens we should all do our part to help out some sort of non-profit organization. But when our beliefs begin to stem from the endorsements of celebrities, there is something very wrong with that picture.
