Emily Zapata, senior radio major, created her podcast "Tales of a Chicana Woman" as a part of her senior project to share her experiences as a young Mexican American woman and provide advice for young adults as they move into the next chapter of their lives.

Leticia Arellano-Morales, associate professor of psychology, discussed “Latina/o Mental and Physical Health” Tuesday in the President’s Dining Room. 

Tucked away in the Pomona Arts Colony sits the dA Center for the Arts which is currently showcasing “Aztlan: A Sense of Place,” another establishment of the Latin American and Latino Art exploration, “Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA.” Visitors are greeted by large murals with bold colors and textures that fill the first floor of the 12,000 sq. foot Center. 

The Center for Multicultural Services at the University of La Verne has been heavily utilized by the Latino student population on campus, but it is currently lacking the diversity it needs to attract a wider array of students.

The Latino Student Forum and the Office of Diversity and Inclusivity hosted “Validating the Latinx Experience,” Oct. 5 in the President’s Dining Room.

Music sounded throughout Sneaky Park as mariachi band members jumped around a table of people who were clapping and singing along.
