It must have been fate that kept Patricia Coleman running into University of La Verne President Stephen Morgan at various places over the years. Right timing and many years of professional experience have brought Coleman, also a ULV alumna, back to ULV to join the management team as the new Vice President of Enrollment.
James Irvine Foundation, based in San Francisco, donated $500,000 to the University of La Verne three years ago. The grant expires at the conclusion of this semester, leaving many of the programs started from this money with out sufficient funds.
The University of La Verne began an arduous process last February. The search was on to find a new director of financial aid. On Wednesday, the search concluded when Edward J. Mervine took residence in Woody Hall as the leader of an office that affects every student at ULV.
