Students gathered Wednesday to celebrate National First-Generation Day. First-generation students, who make up over 40% of the University of La Verne’s student body, are those whose parents or guardians did not complete a four-year college degree.

With the spring semester under way – and most everyone back on campus – students are finding favorite spots where they can relax, study or hang out with friends. 

Six months after the University of La Verne’s Campus Center opened its doors, opinions remain mixed about whether it has lived up to its expectations.

Poets gathered for an afternoon of celebrating the seasons through poetry in Leo’s Den to mark the beginning of poetry month on May 1.

Although the night was planned with several exciting events on campus, only about 15 students decided to relax in Leo’s Den and play board games.
