The 29-year World Series drought continued for the Los Angeles Dodgers after losing the series 4-3 against the Houston Astros last week.

In the third game of World Series, Yulieski Gurriel hit a second inning home run off of Dodger’s starting pitcher Yu Darvish. It was not the home run that was the most talked about after the game, was what Gurriel did after he rounded the bases and returned to the dugout.

It is many sports fans’ favorite time of the year – baseball season has finally returned. After a long winter, it is time to reignite rivalries and bring out the memes of trash talking. Spring training wins and performances built up the hype toward the regular season, and the words “play ball” will be said again.

Sports fans are some of the most passionate people. However, some take it too far. It has come to the point in which teams fight until the final buzzer and fans fight to the death.

LeoFM held its last event of the semester from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on May 16 in Sneaky Park.

They were the words heard around Los Angeles: “Frank McCourt is going to sell the Dodgers.” Suddenly it feels like our luck might change; the Dodgers will be free of the imbecile’s control, and we can get back to playing ball and winning games.
