The La Verne softball team split the doubleheader against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday at Campus West. The Leopards got the victory in game one, 5-4, but could not follow it up, losing game two, 5-3.
The La Verne softball team earned a 3-1 victory in their season opener against Hope International on Feb. 9 at Campus West. This win was followed by two more wins against Pacific Oregon University last Friday.
The Leopards bounced back following a disappointing 4-1 away loss to Cal Lutheran, as they hosted the final two games of the series last weekend, shutting out the Regals 8-0 in game one then winning game two handily, 11-3.
