Completing a reverse half-twist dive on the three-meter board brought sophomore Chad Loury to finals, where he placed seventh on the one- and three-meter boards during the SCIAC swimming and diving championships in Cerritos Feb. 16 and 17.
While the La Verne men and women’s swim teams have not been able to rack up a meet win in their first two match ups against Biola and Occidental, all they needed was a trip to Whittier to turn things around.

The University of La Verne men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams held their own at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships Feb. 19-21 in Cerritos, finishing in fourth place.
The 2003-2004 Southern California Intercollegiate Conference regular season ended for the University of La Verne men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams with Saturday’s loss at Pomona-Pitzer. The men were outscored 146-76, and the women took a 175-57 defeat.
