Tompkins’ life is celebrated
In honor of Andrew Tompkins, a former University of La Verne diver and business administration major who died of cancer on Sept. 22, the University hosted a celebration of his life Oct. 3 in the Athletics Pavilion.
Bake sale supports former ULV diver
The University of La Verne swim and dive team hosted a bake sale fundraiser for Andrew Tompkins, a former ULV diver who after he battled and defeated osteosarcoma cancer in 2018, learned recently that the cancer returned, this time as stage IV metastatic osteosarcoma.
Swimmers, divers end regular season with loss
The swim and dive teams finished the last of their dual meets Saturday against Caltech. The men’s team lost, 172-72, and the women’s team lost, 173-121.
Diver’s plight inspires project
The University community gathered in the Campus Center ballroom Tuesday to make fleece tie blankets for the Linus Project, a nonprofit organization that donates blankets to families in need and ill children.
