Phi Sigma Sigma showed their support for women who undergo kidney dialysis, the sorority’s current philanthropy project, in the form of a 24-hour rock-a-thon series of events at the Johnson Family Plaza from May 4 to May 5.
Lively music and small crowds were the backdrop for potential new recruits, as University of La Verne students participated in Greek life and club enrollment fairs on Monday and Tuesday in Sneaky Park.
Sororities and fraternities’ spring recruitment numbers were significantly lower than last year due to the virtual setting as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic this past February.
Recruitment is the most important time of the year for sororities on any campus at any school. This is the period where we potentially welcome new members into our organizations. Usually, we compete with other sororities on campus, but this year our biggest competition was the pandemic.
