The Holiday Lane Parade and Festival has become a new tradition for the city of Pomona. In its seventh year, the city has made it an annual event that brings the community together for the holidays.

Well it’s November again and for those of you like me, you know exactly what that means: the drags are back in Pomona.
With a moment of silence along with universal prayer for strength and assistance, the Pomona community gathered to reflect and support the families affected by domestic violence during a candlelight vigil hosted by the Pomona Police Department and the House of Ruth held Oct. 17.
On Oct. 1, 41-year-old Donna Nasmyth was sworn in to serve on the La Verne City Council.
The chance to ride railings, perform olies and other skate tricks drew crowds as a community of young people dressed in skate shoes and jeans came out on Saturday to compete at the Palomares Skate Park in Pomona.

The fourth annual Pilgrimage and Festival was held at Philadelphia Elementary School in Pomona on April 8.
In an attempt to make education a top priority for the city of Pomona, newly elected Mayor Norma Torres organized the Pomona City Cleanup to be held at 8 a.m. on April 29 at Ganesha Park.
