Leos dominate conference, look forward to playoffs

In the 72-year history of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), only two teams have ever gone undefeated. The first was in 1954 when the Occidental College Tigers went 8-0. The second happened Tuesday when the Universi­ty of La Verne Leopards completed an 18-0 sweep of the conference.

Leo baseball team sweeps Oxy; Buzzard, Engle, Abel get wins

The University of La Verne baseball team made a three-game sweep of the Occidental Tigers, taking a double-header, Saturday, Feb. 21, at Oxy, and win­ning again Tuesday, Feb. 24, at home, improving its record to 5-2, overall and 3-0 in SCIAC competition.
