Hundreds of University of La Verne students, faculty, alumni and local residents celebrated the annual Homecoming student float parade Saturday between B and C Street.
From hearing footsteps when no one is there to feeling cold sensations on a warm day, La Verne community members stay they still sense the University’s haunted history. Specifically some refer to ghosts of Evelyn Marshalt, David Glassa and Jim Henderson – whose ghosts they swear still linger.
With more than 1,000 guests and a dynamic TV news anchor as emcee, the University’s annual Scholarship Gala on March 11 raised more than $750,000, making it the largest in the event’s 21-year history – both in attendance and funds raised.
